Hello theatre-goers! As Robin Hood approaches, we leave you this special interview done to the only member of the cast that has done Robin Hood… twice! His name is Héctor Calero and the last time we had the chance to see this musical he played the part of Mini Robin… of Mini Who?? Come and see the play and you’ll find out! Let’s get it on!

“I think if we can feed the poor we don’t have to worry about the rich that much, but if there isn’t any better option…”

Question 1: What’s Robin Hood and the Abba Silver Disc?

EARLY COSTUME PICTURES (256)

It’s a musical that tells the story of Robin Hood in a quite particular and funny way. I think it’s a brilliant show, which has fantastic music and lots of great characters and a wonderful cast, so I’m sure that people who will come and see it will have lots of fun.

Question 2: What part do you play and who is he?

The Sheriff of Nottingham is actually the first comedy part I’ve played and I have to say I love it. He’s a very peculiar character that really admires Prince John, the enemy of Robin Hood. That’s the reason why he’s one of the baddies. However, he’s still very funny and has some of the best moments in the show.

Question 3: What’s it like to be back after playin mini Robin back in the day?

Robin Hood is honestly one of the best shows I’ve ever done, and it’s great to have the opportunity to be in it again. I’d also like to thank Luis Gómez (Sheriff of Nottingham in  2011) because he performed the role so well that I still remember how he said every line and every joke last time, and thanks to that it’s much easier for me to play my part now that I’m on the dark side.

Question 4: Rob the rich or feed the poor?

Prince John might take me to the tiniest prison cell but… I think if we can feed the poor we don’t have to worry about the rich that much, but if there isn’t any better option…
